Tonight was our first show of the tour with Stereomud. We're in Johnson City Tennessee and apparently this is the S.T.D capital of America. After arriving for sound-check and seeing all the Stereomud gear covering the tiny stage we thought we might have to set up on the floor. There should be a law against putting that much gear on a stage that size. But we managed to squeeze our gear on and play while banging in to each other and Jon knocking my mike down in every song. I had to do most of the gig with one foot on the stage and the other on the steps leading to the stage. At one point me and Karl just looked at one another and cracked up because we had nowhere to move. Stereomud are a pretty full-on band and some of the music reminds me of Unsane. They're definitely at the heavier end of the spectrum of people that would like us but I think this will be a really good tour. We had Italian for dinner and Jon and Tom were laughing at me eating again. Apparently I open my mouth too wide and bring my mouth down too close to my plate. Oh well.
