SHIHAD ANNOUNCED AS VERY SPECIAL GUESTS ON EVANESCENCE NATIONAL TOUR
Shihad have been announced as the very special guest support act on the
Evanescence Australian tour which kicked off in Brisbane last night.
Shihad accepted the tour last week after being personally invited by
Evanescence to join them on the tour.
Audiences in their tens of thousands are expected to attend the seven
date tour and Shihad use it as an opportunity to road test a selection
of material from their forthcoming album they’re calling Beautiful
Machine. Beautiful Machine will be Shihad’s seventh studio album and the
band will commence work on it in mid March. The Producer and studios
where the album will be recorded will be announced in the coming weeks.
The upcoming Evanescence shows will be Shihad’s first lap around the
country since the Big Day Out 2006. Shihad spent most of the last year
writing and demoing new material for Beautiful Machine, the follow up to
2005’s Love Is The New Hate. On the live circuit, the last year saw
Shihad play a selection of Australian festivals including Rock It, Dusty
Days and Groovin’ The Moo. Attention was also given across the Tasman
with several New Zealand shows throughout the year, culminating in a
full NZ tour in December with supports from The Datsuns.
